ProCalc Commitments
Several contracts, several plants. Is this month’s production meeting them?
What Commitments does
A producer delivering to more than one plant under more than one contract has a question every month that no measurement or accounting system answers on its own: is what we produced lining up with what we committed? Commitments holds the marketing and purchase contracts — volumes, terms, pricing points — and lays the month’s allocated production against them as it happens, so the shortfall or the excess is visible while there is still time to do something about it, and the settlement is accounted for on the terms actually in force.
Inside Commitments
The contracts, as written
Marketing and purchase agreements by plant and counterparty: committed volumes, terms, pricing points, fees and retention, with amendments dated so each month settles on the terms in force.
Production against commitment, daily
Allocated production from Allocate is laid against each contract as the month runs. Over or under, by contract and by plant, in volume and in value.
Compliance before the penalty
A shortfall on one plant and a surplus on another are visible mid-month, not at settlement. Where the contracts allow it, production can be steered.
Settlement on the real volumes
The month is accounted for against the contract on the volumes Validate edited and Balance checked, and posted to Financial Accounting or your ledger.
On its own, or end to end
Commitments reads the shared data lake, so it can improve this one process while everything else connects by API or file — or run as part of the whole chain. About the ProCalc platform.

Cost savings were a priority, especially since our previous supplier required not only an annual fee but also a mandatory upgrade charge and a lengthy implementation process. I wasn’t heavily…
We are new business owners in the gas and oil industry and I cannot say enough great things about Critical Control and their team. We really enjoy the mobile app and the ability to scan in our charts and, even more importantly, to have production data at our fingertips. Our situation as a very…
The mobile chart scanning application on the phones is awesome. Late scanning and scanning errors are a thing of the past. All of my operators are thrilled with the ease of use and convenience of scanning the charts as they come off the readers.
