ProCalc Balance
Every meter checked out on its own. Balance asks whether they make sense together.

What Balance does
Validate checks each meter by itself. Balance puts them together: the well meters, the usage meters — fuel, flare, vent — and the sales meter, for each system, every month. If the balance is inside the tolerance you set, it passes and moves on. If it is out, Balance shows where, and what it did to production. It is the last check before a volume becomes an allocation.
Inside Balance
What is balanced
For each system: the sum of the well meters, less what was used or lost on the way — fuel, flare, vent — against what the sales meter says left. Configure the system once; it runs every month.
Inside tolerance, nothing to do
You set the tolerance. A system that balances within it is done; nobody looks at it.
Out of tolerance, here is why
A fuel meter that tripled last month shows up as the reason the system does not close, and Balance shows the consequence on production. The administrator opens that meter in Validate, sees what happened, and fixes it there. The balance recalculates.
Then allocation
A balanced system is the input to Allocate and Production Accounting. Nothing gets allocated that has not been through this check.
Replaces the spreadsheet
This is the monthly balancing workbook, with the audit trail the workbook never had and the meters it never saw.
On its own, or end to end
Balance reads the shared data lake, so it can improve this one process while everything else connects by API or file — or run as part of the whole chain. About the ProCalc platform.

All testimonialsWhen we experienced a change in staffing, we decided to explore new options for measurement record keeping. Cost savings were a priority, especially since our previous supplier required not only an annual fee but also a mandatory upgrade charge and a lengthy implementation process. I wasn’t heavily…
We are new business owners in the gas and oil industry and I cannot say enough great things about Critical Control and their team. We really enjoy the mobile app and the ability to scan in our charts and, even more importantly, to have production data at our fingertips. Our situation as a very…
The mobile chart scanning application on the phones is awesome. Late scanning and scanning errors are a thing of the past. All of my operators are thrilled with the ease of use and convenience of scanning the charts as they come off the readers.
